Summer Light Spaces

I’ve spent my Saturday walking around Amsterdam with my sweet friends from London, Holly & Steffen. I’ve been showing them the prettiest places, feeding them the most delicious food and telling them everything I know to give them the most complete impression of Amsterdam you can get in only a couple of hours and a couple of days. It was unusually warm and lovely to stroll along the canals, through crowded streets and markets, and to cool down with big glasses of iced tea and quickly melting ice creams. We walked past the Rijksmuseum where rays of sunshine were cut into stripes before they hit the floor. We walked past my favourite studio with its industrial design and again that summer light shining through the windows, creating patterns on the floor and making the space look even prettier than it already is. It’s something about light shining through glass and creating shadows and bright lines so close to each other that it becomes something mesmerising pretty. It changes soon though, it’s chasing the light, and thus worth sharing when captured.
